Last updated: Oct 2025

1) Getting Started

Become a Developer

  1. Create a user account and log in.
  2. Go to Register as a Developer and complete the form.
  3. UK creators may be asked to complete digital age/ID verification.
  4. After approval, open your Developer Dashboard (from your account menu).

What you’ll need

  • Studio/display name, short bio, logo/banner
  • Links (portfolio, Discord, Patreon/Ko-fi, etc.)
  • Payout details: Polygon wallet (0x…) for USDT/USDC

2) Set Up Your Store Profile (once)

Dashboard → Store Settings

  • Store Description: who you are, what you make. You may include Patreon/Ko-fi/Discord/Twitter links.
  • Logo/Banner: upload clean images (JPG/PNG/WebP).
  • Contact: keep your public contact method short and safe (Discord handle, etc.).
  • Timezone: set Europe/London (auto handles BST/GMT).

3) Payout Method (crypto)

Dashboard → Payments → choose Crypto (Manual Payout) (renamed from “Direct Bank Transfer”).

Fill in:

  • Wallet address (0x…) – your Polygon address
  • Network (Polygon/MATIC) – fixed to Polygon
  • Memo/Tag (if any) – usually leave blank
  • Payout name (for reference) – studio or legal name

Payout schedule: every Friday when your withdrawable balance is $30+.
Fees: 1 free withdrawal/month; extra withdrawals cost $2.00.
Unlock period: new earnings unlock after 7 days (anti-fraud).

Tip: keep a little MATIC in your wallet for gas.

4) Create & Publish Your Game (downloads are free by default)

Dashboard → Products → Add New

  1. Title & Short Description
    • Keep the title clear. Use a 1–2 line pitch in the short description.
  2. Mark as
    • Virtual
    • Downloadable
  3. Game Files (Downloadable files)
    • Upload a .zip (e.g., GameTitle_v1.0_win.zip).
    • If you support multiple OSes, add separate files per OS.
    • Prefer < 4 GB per file; split very large builds into parts.
  4. Pricing
    • $0.00 (free) unless you have a written agreement allowing a supporter price.
  5. Categories & Tags
    • Choose accurate categories; add descriptive tags (engine, genre, tone).
  6. Images & Media
    • Feature image + 3–6 screenshots (no illegal or real-person explicit content).
    • Optional: trailer or teaser GIF.
  7. Long Description
    • Overview, features, estimated playtime, content warnings, disclaimers (see below).
    • You may link to dev logs, Discord, Patreon/Ko-fi.
  8. Publish
    • New publishers may require manual review before going live.

Updating a build

  • Edit the product → Downloadable files → upload v1.1 etc.
  • Note changes in the long description (“Changelog”).
  • Keep old versions if you want rollback.

5) SEO & Discoverability (quick wins)

  • Slug/URL: short and readable (/games/game-title).
  • Excerpt: a 1–2 sentence hook.
  • Alt text on images: describe the scene and character names (no explicit language).
  • Tags: engine (Ren’Py, Godot, Unity), genre, tone (romance, mystery), themes.
  • Changelog: helps returning fans see what’s new.

6) Donations & Supporter Links

  • You may add Patreon/Ko-fi or other support links in your Store Description and game long description.
  • If you use on-site supporter items, they are processed in USDT/USDC (Polygon).

Important: On-site donations/supporter items do not grant 18+ access by themselves unless explicitly stated on the item page.

7) Payments, Refunds & Currency

  • Store currency: USD
  • Checkout coins: USDT/USDC on Polygon only
  • Wallet format: must be 0x… (Polygon). TRON/BTC/ERC-20 deposits can be lost.
  • Refunds: crypto is final; we review clear mistakes (duplicate or wrong amount). Otherwise store credit per the Refund Policy.
  • Start any refund request via Contact Us.

8) Legal & Ethical Standards (18+)

Absolute restrictions (Prohibited)

  1. Minors or “young-looking” characters in sexual contexts (even if “thousands of years old” or “fictional”).
  2. Bestiality (real animals or hyper-realistic animal-like beings).
  3. Non-consensual acts (rape/assault/coercion).
  4. Real-person explicit content or deepfakes.
  5. Obscenity/extreme fetishes that violate law (e.g., gore, scat, mutilation).
  6. Illegal/hate content.

Allowed with care

  • BDSM / Dom-Sub: explicit consent, safewords, aftercare.
  • Voyeur/Exhibition: consensual framing; no hidden cameras/spying.
  • Cheating/NTR: frame as fiction; avoid glorifying non-consent.
  • Age-gap (18+): both clearly adults; avoid teacher/student or step-family unless explicitly aged up with disclaimers.
  • Transformation/Body swap: magical or fictional; avoid forced identity without resolution (no minors or non-consensual situations)
  • Monster romance (succubus/incubus, etc.): focus on consent and fantasy.

Best-practice overlays

  • Age gate: show a startup 18+ confirmation screen.
  • Content warnings: list sensitive themes in menu or before scenes.
  • Disclaimers: “All characters are 18+. Fictional work. Not an endorsement of real-life behavior.”
  • Local law: you’re responsible for legality in your country and your audience’s.

9) Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Forgetting to tick Virtual and Downloadable → customers can’t access files.
  • Uploading TRON/ERC-20/BTC addresses for payouts → payouts will fail.
  • Oversized zips without compression → slow downloads / timeouts.
  • Using under-described titles/tags → poor discovery.
  • Missing content warnings → moderation delays.

10) Commission & Payout Summary

  • Example on a $10.00 supporter item:
    • Admin fee 15% = $1.50
    • Vendor $8.50 (unlocks after 7 days → withdrawable on Friday if balance ≥ $30)

Keep your wallet address + network updated in Dashboard → Payments.

11) Support & Help

  • For platform help (accounts, publishing, payouts), use Contact Us.
  • For game content or updates, contact the developer via their profile or game page.
